Larvikite is an igneous rock, specifically a variety of monzonite, notable for the presence of flashes of feldspar. Larvikite is often refered to as black moonstone, but it is not actually moonstone.

 Larvikite stones are nearly 300 million years old, occurring during the Precambrian period, and is named after the town of Larvik in Norway, where this type of igneous rock is found. 

It is said to be a protective and grounding stone. Which cleanses the subtle bodies, facilitating a strong connection with the energies of Earth, its said to stimulate inner visions and enhances your psychic abilities
